1. Make sure you have submitted Ch. 29 Vocabulary.  The form can be found on yesterday's post.

2. Watch this video about the controversial Scopes Trial.  Part of today's assignment will address this trial.

3. Now, set up your assignment: Create a 3 column chart in a Google doc titled, "Traditionalists vs. Modernists".  Use the chart headings, "Topic", "Traditionalists" and "Modernists".  Type in the  4 topics listed below (in blue) under the "Topic" heading.

4.Now  read Ch. 29 pp. 370-377.  As you read pay careful attention to the divisions between traditionalists and modernists in the topics of:
1)"rural vs. urban"; 2)"The Youth perspective vs. The Adult Perspective"; 3)"Prohibition"; and 4)"Creationism vs. Theory of Evolution".
Jot down key words/phrases that show how these two groups (Traditionalists and Modernists) differed in opinion within each of the topics (listed in blue).
*** This assignment will be due tomorrow.  We will have a 22 minute class period after TAKS testing so you can use this time to finish your work.
