Wednesday, October 31: BOO!!!

Student Objective: Identify the major eras in US History from 1877 to the present and describe their defining characteristics.

1.  If you have not uploaded your Immigration Project to your Student Portfolio, do so now.  The specific directions are on yesterday's post.

2. Go to timetoast.com and add the following events to your timeline.  If you don't remember the date and/or the significance of the events look in your notes (CH 13-15).  Also, don't  forget to upload a pic for each event.

• Industrialization Era- create a start date and an end date since this is an era (remember, month and day don't matter for our purposes)
• "New Immigration" Era- create a start date and an end date since this is an era (remember, month and day don't matter for our purposes)
• Chinese Exclusion Act

3. We are going  to watch (or finish) a short video over Asian Immigration and Angel Island Immigration Station.  You do not have to take notes.

4. Open this document to access the essay questions that will be on tomorrow's test.  Remember you must answer 5 of the 9.  Each question is worth 20 points.  You may begin preparing for this test tonight!!!!

5. If time permits we will begin presenting our projects.
