Wednesday, November 28: Progressive Presidents (Cont'd)

Student Objective: Analyze political issues such as . . . the growth of political machines.

1. You will have the first 25 minutes of class to work on your Ch. 18 Vocabulary.  I'm changing the official due date to the tardy bell of your class period on THURSDAY, November 29 in case these 25 minutes are not enough time for you.

2. Political Corruption was one of the major issues that Progressive Era leaders wanted to change.  Use pp. 212-213 of your textbook to complete a diagram regarding the most common types of corruption in city, state and federal government at the turn of the 20th century.

• We will be using lucidchart.com to make the diagrams so create an account using your student email account (sign up for the FREE account).  Save your account information to your password/usernames document we created at the beginning of the year, because we will probably return to this site again!
• Click here to see the diagram template. 
• Re-create this diagram (the titles and number of shapes used must be identical to the template; colors and shape designs may be changed if you like).
• Lucidchart is a simple drag and drop tool.  Choose a shape by clicking on it and dragging it to the drawing board!

This diagram needs to be uploaded to your student portfolio when you finish.  It is due at the tardy bell of your class period on Thursday, November 29.
