Tuesday, March 26: Causes of The Great Depression

Student Objective: Explain the significance of the following years as turning points: . . . 1929; identify the causes of the Great Depression, including the impact of tariffs on world trade, stock market speculation, bank failures and the monetary policy of the Federal Reserve System.

1. We are going to watch the end of America The Story Of Us: "Bust".  Submit your notes for that assignment here when you finish.

2. I'm going to give you 10 minutes to finish up Ch. 30/31 Vocabulary.  Submit it here when you finish.

3. Open Timetoast and add "October 29, 1929: Stock Market Crash" to your timeline.  Don't forget to note the significance of the event and upload an image that symbolizes the event.

4. We are going to start taking notes over the causes of the Great Depression, so create a Google document in your Great Depression unit folder or open Evernote.  Title your notes, "Causes Of The Great Depression", then wait quietly for me to begin the notes.
