Friday, February 24: Why does the Sacco and Vanzetti Case Matter?

Objective: Connecting the Sacco and Vanzetti case to today.
*** The audio insert above is to allow you to listen to the day's tasks in order to help with comprehension.  You do not have to listen to it if you do not want to.
1.  Watch the last segment of Sacco and Vanzetti: Part 15 here.  Add the following to your S&V Journal: Why is it important for the Sacco and Vanzetti case to continue to be studied even though it is an event from 85 years ago?  Your journal is now complete.  Link it to me using this form here

2. I have created the first grade for Skyward since we got the Chrome Books.  The grade is for the 4 accounts that you were supposed to submit to me through Google forms.  If you have not done that, now is your last chance!!! (the links are on the post titled, "Learning Google Chrome and the Chrome Books").

3. Read the following article from Fox News: here. Then answer the questions from this form here.  You can refer back to the article if you need help with your answers.

4. Now I want you to think about this question: Do you think it is possible that in America, today, people could still be denied their civil liberties? Click here to go to Google Moderator.  Once there, click on "home" and create your "nickname" which will be your first name, last name initial, class period (jane d. 1). Then click "view question" to see my statement. You will now give a response (in complete sentences, eliminating the use of pronouns) to the first statement that is posted there (from me).  You must also submit your own question or point so that people have the opportunity to respond to you and not just me.  This is for a grade!

5.  Exit Ticket to leave class.  If we have time, you will log in here to show what you have learned today.  This task will be for the entire class to complete together.  If we don't get this far it will NOT be homework.  Wait for my instructions.
