Tuesday, April 3: World War II

Student Objective: Analyze major issues of WWII, including military events, development of conventional and atomic weapons, military tactics and military contributions.

1. We will begin today by finishing up task #4 from yesterday (questions for Mr. and Mrs. Cates visit on April 10).  You can access the document through yesterday's post or in your Google docs.

2. Open Evernote.  We will be watching America The Story of Us: WWII.  Take 5 significant facts over the following topics: (not necessarily in this order)

• Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor
• economic recovery (from the Great Depression)
• women's role
• new weapons of war
• Dwight D. Eisenhower and D-Day
• war in the Pacific and the Atomic Bomb

3. Don't forget . . . we are testing tomorrow over the Great Depression.  I will have a review (using Popplet) posted on my blog under the page "Student Notes".  It will be titled, "Great Depression".  If you are not going to be here tomorrow you will need to take this test when you return.  I will not be reminding you.
