2. Read the Overview and Study Guide. This is what you are expected to learn during our studies of Reconstruction.
3. Did you really read the document???? After you have really read the document, move it into your Reconstruction folder in Google Docs. (Open Google Docs and it will be there!)
4. Open Time Toast (we created this account yesterday and you should have bookmarked it-- if you didn't the address is www.timetoast.com)
5. Watch the tutorial below to learn how to use TimeToast.
6. Follow the directions from the TimeToast tutorial and add the following dates to your timeline:
- 1861-1865
- 1865-1877
7. Alright! Now for your first GRADED assignment . . . Go get a textbook off the shelf. Open this document and make a copy of it so you can type directly to it.
- To make a copy: click "file"; "make a copy"
- Rename the document "Ch 11 Vocabulary: Reconstruction"
- Type your first and last name at the top of your document
8. Use the glossary of the textbook to define all the terms listed on the document. You must write the COMPLETE definition to receive credit. You must ALSO write a SIMPLE DEFINITION for the term. The simple definition should RE-STATE the textbook definition in a way that shows you understand the meaning of the term.
- ***The textbook definition and simple definition need to be in 2 different colors. I don't care which colors you choose, but make sure you have 2 different colors.
9. If you don't finish the vocab. don't fret!!! We will deal with it on Friday.
10. Put your textbook back on the shelf at the end of the period (in numerial order)!
